Uwi inang has a uniqueness that is similar to uwi awoh, which has a frond that becomes an ant nest but is smaller. This rattan is usually used for rope/pa'an. Its size is approximately 5 mm in diameter and grows in clumps similar to uwi pilodos. This rattan is also easy to color.
